The Friends of Music of Shenendehowa (FOMS) is a group of parents, students, teachers, and community members who feel that music is a vital part of a student's educational and social development. We work to ensure that opportunities for a musical performance and appreciation are available to all of our students. |

The Saratoga Springs Youth Orchestra (SSYO) is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2009. SSYO includes the Wind Ensembles, String Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Big Band, Jazz Combo, and classical chamber music ensembles. In addition, this year we launched two pre-SSYO programs, Progressions String Ensemble and Progressions Wind Ensemble. |

Open Houses raise almost $2000 |

FOMS raised almost $2000 by signing up new members at the high school and middle school open houses. This is the only way that FOMS raises funds to help the Shen music program. In addition, we use the list of new members to find volunteers for our activities and to communicate upcoming music events and opportunities for our students in the music ensembles.
